Kyle Turley signs with the Chiefs
After being released during the spring, Kyle Turley has signed with the Chiefs once again. After a disappointing ‘06 season — one during which he played almost 30 pounds under his typical playing weight after a two-year layoff — Turley hopes to resurrect his career. He’s still only 31 years old, relatively young for an offensive lineman, and currently weighs 302 pounds. Considering that Turley is a lean guy that weighed only 309 pounds during his prime, his current weight is a very encouraging sign. Turley will challenge Chris Terry for the starting right tackle spot. This guy was one of the best lineman in the game at one point, so I wouldn’t put much past him.

re-signing this guy is showing everyone that the chiefs still dont like what they have on the line.

July 25th, 2007 at 11:43 pmIt's insurance, and it comes low risk with the possibility of high reward. Why not bring him back?
July 25th, 2007 at 11:51 pmInsurance, yes. but I agree with redbeard. This does not send a good message to the younger tackles (svitik, sampson, et al) about where they stand. I want to see some young guys emerge. Relying on the Chris Terry and Kyle Turleys of the world smacks of some desperation
