Chiefs fans have spoken, and Tony Gonzalez is their choice to advance over Will Shields. We all love Big Will, but, as I’ve said a few times, Tony G might be the only Chief of all time who’s the best player ever at his position. Plus, there might of been some bitterness towards Will due to his somewhat unexpected retirement. When two guys are neck and neck, don’t you have to go with the guy still in the trenches? I do, and I did. I think it’s about time that everyone considers Gonzalez as a legitimate threat to take home The COAT. We’ve heard so much about D.T., Lenny and Priest, but what about big No. 88? I’ve always thought that he could take this thing, and now it appears that he indeed has a shot. Let’s move on…

I’m going to make this short and sweet — do what you will, but I’m rolling with Willie Lanier. Priest Holmes was a great Chief, but he never gave his heart and soul to the Chiefs. I think we all realize that. Willie Lanier was probably the best player on the ’69 Super Bowl Championship team. Furthermore, he did give his heart and soul to the Chiefs, and was also a dominant force for a much longer period of time than Priest. It’s your call, but that’s where I stand.

He had one of the highest number in total votes before the tournament started, that was main reason for 2nd seed.

I was suprised that Priest was a 2nd seed anyways!

Willie doesn't want to just win this round, he wants to win the whole damn thing!!

it isnt really agism, but more of a ... younger people didnt or havnt seen these older guys do what they did... and have an attachment for those they have seen...

Willie...WILLIE,...... WILLIE !!!!!!!!

Wow, I selected Lanier but thought Priest would be doing better than he is. I am glad KC Fans are giving Willie Lanier the R-E-S-P-E-C-T he deserves!

Yeah I know. When I voted, Priest didn't have any votes at all.

He wasn't the only QB to play that year (correct me if I'm mistaken here, but two others did). Plus, there were several other HOFers on that team. How many HOFers has Tony player with? D.T.? Those things could potentially cost him.

It's going to be close. Lenny is beloved and won the big game, so he is still the favorite, though.

I just can't believe how bad Priest is getting routed. Redbeard is going to love this. I told him that agism wasn't going to be an issue.

I went with Lanier.  Lenny is still my prediction to take it all. He's still a TV personality in KC and still pretty much beloved, although the memory of the 1969 Super Bowl has faded considerably.
