Will Jiu-Jitsu make Tamba Hali a Pro Bowler?
You heard it straight from the man’s mouth –the Kansas City Chiefs’ Tamba Hali is the baddest man in the NFL. Now while I’m not sure that’s entirely true, as a fan of MMA I will assure you that the training he received from Gracie Academy will make him a better player in ‘07. Tamba will have better body control and will be more efficient shedding and out-maneuvering blockers. His training will also help him to be more effective, which will help him expend less energy. This could result at him terrorizing QBs late in games. If you thought Tamba had a motor before, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. I can’t wait to watch him hit Marcus McNeill or Matt Lepsis with a little Jiu-Jitsu for that ass.
Anyway, if there is one Chiefs non-football YouTube clip that you won’t want to miss, then this is definitely the one. Here’s hoping Tamba puts together a Pro Bowl season and becomes our best DE (hey, this could be Jared Allen’s last year as a Chief).

I absolutely love this! I knew I got his jersey after the draft he wouldn't disappoint me.
I think its a great way to know the core of your body and know leverage. This is great for a player that is a Defensive End or a LB. Not to say anyone can't benefit from this type of training.
July 12th, 2007 at 8:21 pmas long as he tackles I dont care if he skydives…80 plus tackles and I'm happy
July 12th, 2007 at 9:33 pmyea i have to admit when we drafted him i was a little skeptical i was hoping they would draft chad jackson or santonio holmes but he turned out to be a great pick.
July 13th, 2007 at 11:29 amMan I am glad we didn't touch either of those guys. Those guys at best will be #2 WRs.
July 13th, 2007 at 12:26 pmcareful Zach,,, Bowe may just be a number two… we still have to see. And I dont mind a great number two reciever… heck we play more than one, why not a great number two…and I think we should have drafted a lineman somewhere… all these late round picks havent really given us much on the line…next year they need to draft at least one lineman in the first three rounds… almost a given.
July 13th, 2007 at 4:04 pmI don't disagree with that either. We will have to see what D-BO does, lets just hope he stays healthy and can get to practice on time.
July 13th, 2007 at 9:38 pmwell the practice issues are different…lol, if he turns out to be a number two, its good for me…line Eck in the slot , that gives us three big guys on one side and who ever the speed guy is man that will be potent… as long as that O-line holds up, as we hope it does.
