Well, I’ve been sticking up for King Carl all spring and summer, so now I’m going to finally bust his balls (and the balls of one Clark Hunt, I suppose). This is just ridiculous. All that money left over and we can’t extend arguably one of the top-10 players in the league so he won’t stage a holdout? Pay Larry Johnson now! Actually, pay L.J. and then go out and sign a cornerback and a guard. Hell, with that much money why not go after Asante Samuel or Kris Jenkins?
Maybe we are saving up for next summer to splurge on a young stud or two, but that’s a lot of money to leave unspent in a league that’s as fiercely competitive as the NFL. There is no excuse not to sign L.J. soon. I’m really fired up about this now. I knew that we had cap room, but $ 16.2 M? Wow.

I wonder if this considers Greens cap hit. I would think that it would. So we should easily have enough to bring LJ and Jared back next season.
I about lost it when I saw this number. It scares me a little about Clark and the future of this franchise. Look at those teams that are right around us. Not one other team in the top seven made the playoffs. This is a very bad omen.
see I told you guys we had plenty of room to keep Green if carl wanted to…lolCarl never spent close to what we gained this year.
and give Carl time plenty of people are still to be cut from other teams… we may get them…and ( we may still get a first round running back whos initials are not LJ).
