Chiefs 2007 Schedule: Early Predictions

I am going to start breaking down my predictions for the Chiefs Schedule throughout the season. Since I am not a writer and don’t pretend to be one, this will let me be analytical. Chris , over at Arrowhead Pride, thinks we will be around 10-6 or 8-8 this season. Thats not a hard assumption to make since the Chiefs almost always end up with that record, but hey, right now I got us finishing 9-7. Check it out:

1 @ Houston     W - Brodie or Huard? Doesn’t matter
2 @ Chicago

L - No way we go up there and steal one
3 Minnesota

W - Home Opener = Win
4 @ San Diego

L - LT and Co. are just too talented
5 Jacksonville

L - They almost won last year
6 Cincinnati

W - I smell Arrowhead revenge!
7 @ Oakland     W - Oakland is still in bad shape
8 BYE
9 Green Bay     W - Farve is an old man
10 Denver

W - It seems like we always split with Denver
11 Indy

L - Cut that Meat is too good
12 Oakland

W - Read Week 7
13 San Diego

L - Read Week 4
14 @ Denver

L - Read Week 10
15 Tennessee     W - They only have Vince Young
16 @ Detroit

W - No way Detroit wins 10
17 @ NY Jets

L - Herm’s return goes bad

Does anyone else see that Jared Allen missing the first four games is costly? We play two teams with young inexperienced QBs that would be great for Allen to harass. We also will miss him big time against two of the best teams in the NFL — Chi-town and San Diego. This is why I think Jared should be more understanding with the organization. Well, unfortunately for Chiefs Fans, we have to watch Jacksonville and Cincy again. I predicted one to beat us and the other not too. I predicted us to beat Cincy because I think the Chiefs will want a little revenge for last year. Another interesting game brings Favre to Arrowhead, where I have us winning. Sorry old man!

The second half of the season starts off with us taking one from Denver. We always split with the Donks, so no reason to think that won’t happen again. We have to go to Indy again and I don’t like our chances. Peyton is just too damn good at home. Then we get the three AFC West foes and it doesn’t look pretty with us only beating Oakland. San Diego is just going to be too tough this season. I know we will beat the Titans in Kansas City. They have Vince Young, but really what else do they have? The Chiefs finish the season on the road in Detroit and New York. I think we will split those two games. Detroit has improved and the Jets are always a threat with the Man-Genius running around. Well these predictions are a bit early and everything could change, but for now I have the Chiefs going 9-7 and most likely missing the playoffs. (please stop cursing my name)

Wouldn't mind seeing Turk McBride hassle Grossman and Schaub and whoever the hell the Vikings QB is nowadays.

I'll be back but ,  *WE WILL BEAT CHICAGO !!!!!*

  3. 3. Adam Says:

That would be Tarvaris Jackson, Chris. Honestly, there really is no need for most people to know him.

  4. 4. redbeard Says:

We will beat *CHICAGO…. We will beat San DiegoAnd we will come back home to beat Jax.Allen wont be a scapegoat this year….as like I have said we will not have a loss in the first five games.

    You can keep dreaming :)

With our QB situation we are going to lose at least one of the first five games. We will NOT go into Chicago and beat them. I just dont see it happening.

As far as Jacksonville, I think we will lose to one of the two with Cincy and Jax. I went to both games last season and I saw teams that were young and talented. Now they are a year older, one of those teams will beat us.

For San Diego, I wouldnt be shocked at all if we tied the series. It is an AFC West Rivarly and that could happen with us and Oakland. So wouldnt be surprised if we did steal one. I just dont think there is anyway we will be better than 9-7. Like I said these are Junes predicitions. I think alot has to do with how well our OL does.

  6. 6. Zach Says:

I think McBride will get some good playing time but I just dont see him being a gamebreaker in his first four games as Jared would have given us.

  7. 7. redbeard Says:

we will win the first five games…

  8. 8. Zach Says:

If that happens I will be a happy man, just dont remember the last time the Chiefs started 5-0 with a rookie QB.

(I consider Brodie a rookie at his position since he hasn't played)

  9. 9. redbeard Says:

AND WHAT TEAMS HAVE WE HAD WITH ROOKIE QB's? And with those rookies look at whom they played with…this is different… we have a few RB's and we have Receivers…We also have a *D* to go with the *O*…   As long as the O-line everybody said before was good enough… we will win this year!!!

  10. 10. Zach Says:

OK, here is the deal Reddy :)

If the Chiefs start 5-0, at the next Chiefs game I will buy you a beer. If the Chiefs dont start 5-0, are you willing to do the same and make this thins a bet?

(Give me a reason to wager and I will)

  11. 11. redbeard Says:

that would mean your going to the Denver game as thats the only one I can make it to this year…as I'm still caring for my folks in AZ. And dont have a million bucks…hahahaha…         *as for the first five games I see houston as the biggest hurdle…they must be up for that GAME!!!* and if your going to that game then yeah its a bet…
