I almost for certain he will be able to run block (full steam-ahead). I am just wondering how he will be at pass blocking and catching. Just interested to see if he will be a liability at those. I could see us using him 6-12 plays a game on offense and him still be a great contributer on special teams.
on SP Ts he is a madman… but he will have to be able to play fullback or he will be on the practice squad this year.
No matter what he will make the team. They always keep 3 TE's so Kris Wilson will not take the FB roster spot. Last I checked, who else is there?
Well, rookie Michael Allan is also a TE, and the Chiefs really, really like him. There's also Dunn. That's four TEs, so… Boomer could get cut, but I doubt it. His special teams ability, versatility and willingness to do anything requested of him will keep him around.
the one thing we should remember is that Herman himself told Boomer the best chance for him to make the team is to play fulback… and I have heard that wilson may be this years second tight end…nothing firm but I did hear it…..Dunn may be done here in KC….. this isnt dicks team anymore.
I read that Herm loves the mismatches Kris Wilson creates out of the backfield, a la Chris Cooley.
