I explained why I don't think he's in the Hall of Fame very thoroughly, and I don't think it has anything to do with talent. I still think that he'll make it, maybe even this year.

And I am smiling... I just love my boy D.T.

Then go back and place him with the def. ends..., kidding...lol It is fair to compare stats...the same stats people ignored when voteing for wide reciever , as Stephon paige had better, all the way across the board. And I agree he was a great player...*I AGREE*...I dont agree that he is or should be the *COAT* ...Not with the other players, being so far more well rounded. And DT has already been passed over how many times now for the Hall of Fame, others see DT as do I or he would be there now...

His sack numbers were damn near as good as L.T.'s and L.T. played longer, I believe, and on better teams (offensively especially). And that is the best defensive player of all time.

Comparing tackle or interception numbers just isn't fair. For all intents and purposes D.T. was a versatile defensive end, similar to what Jason Taylor is for the Dolphins or Jevon Kearse is for the Iggles. Maybe he should have been listed in the defesnive line category, but officially he's still listed as a linebacker.

Donnie has played longer than D.T., and his sack numbers are are pretty paltry. Comparing those two is like comparing Carson Palmer to Michael Vick -- two totally different players.

I think we're going to just have to agree to disagree on this one. It's not just you either; this post was targeted at all our voters, along with all the D.T. haters and the HoF voting committee. Not that all of the above-listed people will read this, but hopefully some of them will.

To me D.T. wasn't one-sided, but the most dominate force ever to wear the Red, White and Gold on the defensive side of the ball. That's just how I feel.

It is true that he was bad against the run, teams honestly ran the ball his way..........and yes you need to look at coverage when you include him as a linebacker , just because he couldnt or wasnt a primary cover man he still couldnt do it...to be honest.(and thats the reason he got upset with the donkeys' TE and twisted his head off on monday night football)L.Taylor tackles 1088,sacks 132.5,int. 9, D.Thomas tackles 649, sacks 126.5, int. 1,D.Edwards tackles 1371, sacks 21.5, int. 27I see a big switch up with the above numbers, yes I too understand what the man did to the other teams he played againstDT was a man you *HAD* to account for on every play, but as the winner of the coat no way, should we give it to a man who was only a very much so one sided player. And thats my point.
