Chiefs Fix: Case of the Mondays
A few general NFL things that should be of some interest to all Kansas City Chiefs fans…
New Orleans Saints WR Robert Meachem, also known as the guy lots of Chiefs fans wanted us to pick in the first round, is already having health issues. It looks like he will need a minor knee operation, and his ankle is also giving him problems. Check out the article over on the WWL.
Chicago Bears DT Tank Johnson has been suspended for the first eight games. This is important because he will not be available when the Chiefs play at Chicago early in the season.
The bad news: The Denver Broncos have signed DT Sam Adams. Great, now the Donks are even trying to ruin one of my favorite beers. Nevermind — I don’t think Adams has ever been referred to as “Samuel Adams Light.”

Welborne had better be paying attention to this!!!!!!And remember I said we will *BEAT CHICAGO , yes this year*
June 4th, 2007 at 7:40 pmAnd Wide out is one of the most tricky draft picks around outside of DT and OT (left OT)!!!!!! very hard to make them workout.
June 4th, 2007 at 7:41 pmWR might be the hardest thats why I have never been upset with not taking one in the first round. CB is also another position that is hard to draft. I think safety and linebacker are a few of the easier first round draft picks.
I am glad to see Tank get suspended but think his punishment should be the same as Pacman. Its just hard to base how Goodell is really deciding the length of suspensions when these guys have different situations.
A little upset to see the Broncos get Sam Adams but I think he really didn't do much for the Bengals last season. He is at the end of the road and hopefully he is just showing up in Denver to get another paycheck, I hope…
June 4th, 2007 at 8:47 pmYeah, all we need is to have another end of the line guy show up for them (denver) again, maybe he will be like all those cleveland left overs and just show up…lolI agree about the linebackers, then safety,
June 4th, 2007 at 8:54 pmFirst round safeties always seem to work out. I think the guys drafted in the first round this year — Merriweather, Griffin and Landry — will all be good. Maybe not Pro Bowlers, but definitely starters.
June 4th, 2007 at 11:08 pmAnd Sam Adams will probably help them. I hate to say it, but he'll life much tougher for our OL and L.J.
June 4th, 2007 at 11:09 pmif our new Off. scheme catches on with the players I think Tony G. and the receivers will make it easier against Denver this year. LJ shouldnt have a problem there, if they catch the ball this year.
June 5th, 2007 at 7:32 amI just read that green was traded for a fifth round pick, which could become a fourth depending on greens playing time next year. finally.
