I think he's been vindicated to some extent after these last two draft classes. After all, he picked L.J. even though Dick wasn't onboard. Vermeil and Lynn Stiles were garbage scouting-wise. Lanier stood out on a team full of standout defensive players... He played the mike like they play it today...that alone says allot , he could have probably played in todays cover two as well...and talk about speed he was one of the fastest mike linebackers to play here. if we are taking this down to one player the *COAT*
then we must compare them…
