exactly Larry. We traded a decent pick for Roaf and look how well that piad off for us. If we bring in Faneca with the rest of the line I think we are back in the top 10 OL. Still this line is going to depend on how well LT McIntosh plays. Hopefully, he will come in and at least not get our QBs killed.

Adam, I agree, pull the trigger. While I'm hopeful of McIntosh I'm still reminded of the playoff game last year and the pain suffered through that woefull performance. Not many changes on the OL since. After the draft, I struggled to understand what Carl was doing on the OL and figured he had a few gems on the undrafted board. After reviewing the 16 kids who came to camp, I didn't see much so I'm still scratching my head. What on earth Carl is doing????

Faneca has got some game left and while has some age, isn't he about the same age Roaf was when we got him from NO? If they give up a 3rd round and get him, I am much more encouraged by that offensive line IF McIntosh can put a staple on that RT position.

Faneca is just a rumor at this point, but the Steelers can't re-sign him with his price tag ($7 M) Troy and Big Ben needing extensions. They will have to explore trading him because they do not want him to walk next offseason. I say pull the trigger, even for a second- or third-round pick.

And I think Kolby Smith and Dwayne Bowe, not to mention McIntosh and hopefully Terry, will help the ball-control game. Also, I'm hoping John Welbourn performs better at his natural position of guard.

We all are overrating the losses of our Wills. Roaf was injured that whole last year he played and Shield lost a step last year. Booger McFarlane basically forced my man into retirement up in the RCA Dome.

Big Chief87: I do believe the experience Page and Pollard got last year will provide some opportunities for improvement in the secondary but field position and time of possession are going to cripple the defense's progress as they will be on the field too long. Still comes back to the trenches and unless there is something along the OL that I'm missing, the ball control offense Herm wants to install is going to fall short. Has anyone heard if G Fanaca from the steelers is being investigated? I do like the draft choices, but its clear we are rebuilding.
