Personally, I thought he was a bit overrated because he was tough and white, kind of the common man everyone could root for. He was a technically solid player with a ton of heart and will, but ultimately he was too slow. After that knee injury I imagine he was just way too slow to ever come back. I enjoyed watching him play, but he was always just too slow. I like our LBs now -- speedy! Anders did make three Pro Bowl trips. Adam Shefter(?) of NFL Network thinks the chiefs are being very opptimistic thinking larry is a 50% chance to be at training camp. Bennett is a situational, change of pace guy, so really by default, Smith has a good chance to get perhaps the majority of first team reps in camp this year depending on how fast he can retain all the new info thrown at him. If he's anything like kimble anders, I think LJ should be a little worried. I remember Anders (three time pro bowler i think) getting a crack as the starting rb, and rolling for 140+ against denver. I think he got hurt the next game and was out the rest of the season, but still not a bad guy to be compared to.
