The Cut List: Woohoo! The Chiefs cut Eric Hicks!

by Chiefs

(Photo credit: nflplayers.com)It’s official — Eric Hicks has been cut.

Honestly, now that he and his ridiculous salary have been removed, I have no animosity towards Eric Hicks. Now, I do towards Ryan Sims, but that is a different story altogether. Hicks was a hard-working overachiever whose production over a few years with the Kansas City Chiefs landed him a contract way bigger than it ever should have been. He’s a decent man who’s always played hard on the field, and been one of the Chiefs’ foremost philanthropists off the field. I wish him only the best, but I’m relieved to have that albatross of a salary off the books.

Who to cut now? That is the real question…

1. DT Ryan Sims - I’m ecstatic to have Turk and the Tank rolling into town. First off, because I like what they each bring to the table, but also because the writing is now on the wall for Ryan Sims. I despise Sims because he is a fat, greedy freeloader that collected millions of dollars from our beloved Chiefs, yet never even attempted to hold up his end of the bargain. Sims should be embarrassed of his tenure with the Chiefs. I’m not sure he even deserves for another team to give him a second chance.

2. S Greg Wesley – With Dante Hall and Eric Hicks now gone, Greg Wesley, aka “G-Wes the Tackle Whiffer,”assumes the two spot. We need to dump his bloated salary in the worst possible way. I can’t believe the Chiefs are trying to trade him. Excuse me — every other team in this league has seen us play, which means they’ve seen Wesley play, or attempt to, as well.

3. QB Trent Green - His lack of loyalty has been disheartening. I understand that he’s upset over losing his starting gig, but he’s getting old. Besides, it wasn’t Carl Peterson out there pretending to be Michael Vick and nearly getting decapitated, was it? That was you, Trent Green. He needs to show a little more gratitude and loyalty to the franchise that gave him his big shot. I can’t wait until his ridiculous $7.2 mil contract has been removed from the equation — either by trade or termination.

Feel free to leave suggestions for future editions as comments, as the abovementioned players are already halfway out the door.

Why did I say trade lol. Been thinking about Trent Green trade way too much....

Wouldn't need to trade for him. Just sign him.

Banny -

Great idea. I think trading for Keyshawn would be good for the Chiefs and would allow Bowe to become the deep threat we need him to be. If we had Kennison, Tony-G and Keyshawn we wouldnt drop many passes.

K. Johnson ,thats something to think about.

Ok, here is a thought. Keyshawn Johnson has just been cut. I know he is not the youngest WR out there, but he would be an upgrade for a year or two until Bowe can take over. So the question, does it make since for the Chiefs to sign Johnson to a year or two deal?

Wesley wont be far behind now...
Carl is still trading him.

Next year we will have picks...

allot of them.If Carl keeps them.

check number one off of your list because Sims just got TRADED to tampa for an undisclosed draft pick... what a bunch of fools

My Dad, even though he was born in St. Louis, is a lifelong Chiefs fan. He passed that info long when I was old enough to comprehend it.

You want to know what's funny... Before I moved to Miami I was a DVD QA specialist in L.A. I actually tested that DVD before it was released. Thank you very much. Hopefully there are no bugs that I missed. LOL.

See you did know they won the Super Bowl:))))))))))
We got our first Color TV for that game.
